Mashariki Safari

The tour takes you to Kenya’s largest national park where you will get the wild feeling with a welcome from the “majestic red elephants”. This park also hosts very big herds of buffaloes, antelope species, and birdlife among other animals. You’ll also visit Lumo Community Wildlife Protection, plenty of animals are also found here.

You’ll be collected from the airport.

Itinerary

We'll pick you up from your hotel or airport and drive directly to Tsavo East National Park, home of the “red elephants” and also the largest national park in Kenya. On arrival at the first gate, we will check in and immediately, start our first game viewing in the famous park. We will continue with the game drives to reach the Sentrim Tarhi Camp in time for lunch. After lunch, we will have some short time to rest before we get back to the park for evening game drives. This will take us to areas like the Aruba Dam which is a man-made dam drawing its waters from the Voi River attracting thirsty animals who come to take water from it. We'll also have a diversity of resident bird species which includes hornbills, eagles, kingfishers, weavers, bustards, storks and marabou. As the sun is going down, we'll return to the Sentrim Tarhi Camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

We will do an early morning game drive in the park then come back for breakfast. After breakfast, we'll drive to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary arriving in time for lunch. After lunch and a short rest, we will do game drives in this wildlife sanctuary which is a community-based conservation area. As the sun is going down, we'll get back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

On this day, we will have early morning game drives in these sanctuaries then come back for breakfast. Thereafter depart and start our transfer back to the coast. On our way back, we'll have lunch at the Lion Hill Camp and enjoy the magnificent view from the highest elevation of Tsavo East National Park (662m). We'll then take you to your accommodation at the beach.
